Shabby Chair Re-do

Happy June everyone!!

Hope you enjoyed the weekend?

I've been working so very hard on the dresser, hutch and this awesome chair I found at a thrift store in Daytona a week or so ago:

She's was a beauty just the way she was...

Just not my style..

Especially with the patterned dirty seat!

But... LOVE LOVE LOVE the curves and carvings on her!

So, I bought her, and took her home.

I sanded, painted and shabbied her up...

Took the old seat cover off and recovered with dropcloth...

Ta da!!!!

From that to this:

  1. So cute! I love all of the carved detail on the chair.

  2. it looks so pretty! i think chairs that style were just meant to be painted! gorgeous!

  3. Thanks Suzy and Cassie :)

I think the SAME thing, the white paint on the carvings just makes it "drip" with gorgeousness!!
