Dresser Makeover!

Hi ya'll!

Has it really been since Valentines Day
since I last left you all a blog post?
My deepest apologies!!

I've been soo busy around here,
I can hardly keep up.

Between visiting
my parents on the other side of the state..
then ~ they drove out here and stayed
for a few days..

From working on my
dining room set in my kitchen, to
"fluffing" my booth

And making sure
I didn't miss a thing at the last extravaganza
at Renningers until November..

I didn't even realize I
missed a whole week here!

And, the fun doesn't stop either..
my sweet 4 year old grandson, James,
is coming for a visit from
Michigan on Saturday!

YAY!  I'm soo excited to see him again!
I talked to him on the phone yesterday
and told him I would be at the airport
to pick him up on Saturday.
He replied, "Guess what Punkin'..
(That's what he calls me..)
we have a Saturday in my city too!"
Ahh.. he's something else, I tell ya!
Love him!!

In the meantime of all the above activity,
I've managed to finish up a dresser
I scored a few weeks ago.

Blech!

Sanded 'er down,
cleaned 'er up,
and, of course,
painted 'er white..

Tada!!

OOO I could just squeel
with delight!!

I just love this
pretty lill thang now!

Love me some Shabby!!

I picked this book
of self stick fabric paper
at Joann Fabrics this morning..

Guess what I did with it?

I cut it up into squares
and lined the drawers
so the fabric paper
looked like a quilt..

No Mod Podge this time
since it was already
sticky on one side
and fabric on the other..

How cool is that?!

From that ...     To this!

I think it was new, it was displayed on the end of the row.. 40% off right now too! So, an entire book of it was only $12. They have 2 different styles.
